The cities

The Ioannis Capodistrias City Network was founded in 2007. To the present day, the network has demonstrated its conviction that the personality and work of I. Capodistrias requires, above anything else, a stable structure which will unite the places where he left his mark. At the same time, it is going through the first phase of its expansion, to strengthen is pan-European dimension.
The network can be joined by all interested municipalities that share in the heritage of I. Kapodistrias, as long as they agree to its aims.
The network is based in Corfu, and the role of president is taken biennially by a member Municipality.
For the 2018-2019 period the presidency is held by the Municipality of Corfu, and the Municipality of Aegina will take over for the following two years.
